ABOUT TAPESTRY CHURCH
We love God, we love college students, and we love Austin. There are a lot of awesome large churches in Austin. That’s not us, though. Tapestry Church isn’t huge, and we’re not flashy. We're a family where you can belong, and we keep church simple. We’re devoted to Jesus and the Scriptures, and everything we do flows out of that. We exist to glorify God, disciple, serve the marginalized, and send missionaries.
GLORIFY
The first and greatest commandment is to love God. In the 1640’s, the Westminster Catechism states that the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. Whether we’re gathering for a service on Sunday, having a meal together, or watching Longhorn football, we love God while doing it and it is all for God’s glory.
DISCIPLE
In the Great Commission, Jesus calls us to make disciples of all nations. To fulfill this, we need to be both disciples and disciple-makers. At Tapestry Church, we focus on growing in our character, our understanding of doctrine, and in equipping everyone to love God, love people, and represent Jesus well.
SERVE
True religion is serving the marginalized in the world, and we want to be a church that doesn’t just meet spiritual needs. We want to meet physical needs as well. Whether we’re serving the homeless, a pregnancy resource center, or cleaning up one of Austin’s parks, we want to make a difference in our city.
SEND
We believe all followers of Jesus are missionaries. We recognize that most people will not be in Austin long-term, so we want Tapestry Church to be a place where people are equipped to be lifelong followers of Jesus. We’re excited about sending out passionate followers of Jesus to other cities, states, and countries and filling the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
OUR TEAM
MATT MOORE
Matt was born and raised in a small town in Michigan and graduated from the University of Michigan. He moved to Austin in 2012 and loves the warm weather and sunshine. He doesn’t miss winter at all. He’s been in ministry for over 15 years, serving at churches focused on the University of Michigan, Michigan State, and the University of Texas. He's married to Kristi, and they have 4 wildly talented and amazing children.
KRISTI MOORE
Kristi loves Jesus, her husband, sushi, and running. Kristi is passionate about connecting women with Jesus - whether that’s college students, grads, newly marrieds, or young mothers. She loves meeting with women one on one.
Chris Bossio
Board Member
Chris grew up in the Detroit area of Michigan. He went to Michigan State University for his undergraduate degree and Moody Theological Seminary for his Masters degree. He has been married to his wonderful wife, Kathleen, for 15+ years and has 4 children. He is passionate about any level of football, reading and apologetics. Chris is the Senior Pastor of Moline Baptist Church in Moline, Michigan, and serves on Tapestry's Board of Directors.
OUR BELIEFS
Tapestry Church affirms historic, orthodox Christianity as represented by the Apostles and Nicene Creeds. Specifically, we affirm the doctrinal statement of the World Evangelical Alliance. At Tapestry Church, we believe the Kingdom of God is bigger than any local church body.
We believe in linking arms with like-minded followers of Jesus to reach the world together.
ELEMENTUM
Elementum partners with churches and young adult or college ministry leaders to restore young adults to their Kingdom purpose and place in the body of Christ. We love to equip, connect, and mobilize leaders to make a Gospel impact in the lives of young adults in their city and beyond.

RELIANT MISSION
Reliant is the missionary sending organization that works in partnership with Tapestry. Reliant mobilizes missionaries to work in local churches and ministries for the purpose of evangelism, discipleship and church planting. Reliant trains, employs and serves missionaries as they raise a team of supporters for their ministry.
